My aunt speaks spanish, so I am going to spend a weekend at her house and talk only in spanish. I am borrowing her recipe for Tres Leches an I will make it for my family. Madison W.

I will be writing a childrens book about spanish holidays- The holidays are- January 6th- Epiphany, Day of National Sovereignty, All Saints' Day, Las Fallas of Valencia, The Day of the Dead, and Holy week (Includes a few holidays)

I will be studying and learning a popular spanish dance called the Flamenco.I will learn the dance at home and run it over a few times with my dance teacher. I will take pictures and video of me learning and performing the dance.

I am going to re-create the famous painting/drawing of the "The Persistence of Memory". i will draw it and then color it with colored pencil.
For my CPR Project, I will be visiting the Museo de Las Americas on March 1st in Denver. I will also be visiting The Cathedral High School and Convent. This was designed by Harry J. Manning and is an example of Spanish Renaissance Revival architecture.

I will be writing to my grandpa (Damacio) Montoya who is originally from New Mexico and his first language was Spanish and learned English as he grew up. The letters will consist of a greeting letter (present tense; mostly questions)how I enjoyed the balloon fiesta a couple years back (past tense), how he is doing, and anything else that comes to mind. If he does not respond to my first letter by March 17th, I will call him and write down our conversations.

I will be reading different Spanish poems. After reading these, I will write an essay comparing and contrasting Spanish poetry versus English poetry based on the poems I have read. Aaron L.
